Family-Run Gem, ‘The Tempest’, Sets Sail in Prescot Town Centre
Prescot welcomes a delightful addition to its growing town centre as ‘The Tempest,’ a family-run bar and bistro, takes the stage on Eccleston Street. Daniel McCann and Daniel Maguire, the dynamic duo behind this venture, have transformed the former Kitchen 54 premises, revealing their unique vision for the establishment.
The grand opening, initially postponed due to meticulous refurbishments, is now set to dazzle patrons on Saturday, December 16.
Prescot, buoyed by Heritage Action Zone funding and the recent unveiling of the Shakespeare North Playhouse, has become a hub for diverse venues. The likes of Pinion restaurant, Eden Bar & Garden, and Maturo steakhouse have all contributed to the town’s burgeoning culinary scene.
With an increasing influx of visitors from St Helens and neighboring areas like Rainhill and Whiston, The Tempest aims to become a local favorite, joining the lineup of establishments attracting attention in Prescot.
Daniel McCann shared his excitement, stating, “We’ve been working tirelessly on the bar in anticipation of the opening night and have received tremendous support from the locals. There’s a palpable excitement about the new bar in town. For the opening weekend, our focus is on the bar, and from Monday onward, we will introduce our small plates and breakfast menu. Given the limited breakfast options in the area, we hope to establish ourselves in this niche.”
While ‘The Tempest’ marks the Daniels’ first foray into the bar scene together, their successful ventures in cafes, car washes, and hairdressers showcase a wealth of business acumen. Leveraging their collective expertise, Daniel and Daniel aspire to make ‘The Tempest’ a lasting success in the heart of Prescot.
As The Tempest opens its doors to the public, the town anticipates another standout venue, adding to the vibrant tapestry of Prescot’s evolving culinary landscape. Stay tuned for a blend of unique flavors and warm hospitality at this family-run gem.
